Inauguration Ceremony&Seminar on International Cooperation
正值2025年5月30日第九个全国科技工作者日之际，位于德清地理信息小镇的“世界地信之家”也迎来了正式揭牌的时刻。活动由湖州莫干山高新区地信发展中心、德清地理信息小镇科技工作者学会联合主办，来自中国、尼日利亚、加纳、卢旺达、埃塞俄比亚、哈萨克斯坦、蒙古、俄罗斯、英国、德国、土耳其、巴基斯坦、伊朗、玻利维亚等十余个国家测绘地理信息相关领域的六十多代表出席，包括联合国全球地理信息知识与创新中心、联合国附属空间科学与技术教育亚太区域中心（中国）、国际测量师联合会、国际小水电中心、国际通用航空协会联盟、中国地理信息产业协会地理信息创新发展与国际交流合作分会、陕西省无人机技术服务协会、国家级地理信息相关协会等行业组织的代表，武汉大学、北京航空航天大学、宁波诺丁汉大学等测绘地理信息相关著名高校的专家学者、德清地理信息小镇和全国测绘地理信息领域的企事业单位代表以及德清县相关部门的领导和新近发展的国际志愿者代表。
On May 30, 2025, the ninth National Science and Technology Workers’ Day of China, the “World Geospatial Information Home” located in the Deqing Geospatial Information Town held its official inauguration. The event was jointly organized by Geospatial Industry Development Center of Huzhou Moganshan High-tech Zone and Deqing Association for Geospatial Information Professionals. More than sixty participants from the field of surveying Mapping and geospatial information from over ten countries including China, Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia, UK, Germany, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, and Bolivia, attended the event. The participants include representatives from organizations such as United Nations Global Geospatial Information Knowledge and Innovation Center, Regional Center of Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (China) (Affiliated to the United Nations), International Federation of Surveyors, International Centre for Small Hydro Power, International General Aviation Association Alliance, Geospatial Innovation and International Cooperation Branch of China Association for Geospatial Industry and Sciences, Shaanxi Provincial Drone Technology Service Association and national level geospatial information related associations as well as experts and scholars from renowned universities in the field of surveying and Geospatial information such as Wuhan University, Beihang University and the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, along with representatives from enterprises and institutions in the national surveying and geospatial information sector and officials from relevant departments of Deqing County and newly developed international volunteers.
本次活动名头很大，有“世界地信之家”开张之谓，但组织得非常简约，颇有“家”的感觉，来自世界各地的每位参与者都有主人翁感，真正当成自己的家，主动参与布置、主动接待来宾、前后张罗。揭牌仪式简短有序，先是由“世界地信之家”共同参与方负责人包括湖州莫干山高新区地信发展中心主任王更亮、中国地理信息产业协会地理信息创新发展与国际交流合作分会秘书长吴红伟、德清县国际交流中心主任杨振、德清县科协副主席姚伟峰、德清地理信息小镇科技工作者学会理事长倪涵以及“世界地信之家”的积极推进者、国际测量师联合会非洲区域网络主席、非盟委员会2063议程特别大使Mohammed M. Kabir先生为“世界地信之家”剪裁。接着，致力于国际合作的首批入驻“世界地信之家”的中国机构揭牌，包括“武汉大学技术转移中心浙江分中心国际交流与国际技术转移事业部”、“南方测绘-数联空间国际产教融合推广中心”。
This event has a grand title, known as the inauguration of the ‘World Geospatial Information Home’, but it is organized in a very simple manner with giving a strong sense of ‘home’. Every participant from around the world feels a sense of ownership, treating it as their own home, actively participating in arranging decorations and welcoming guests. The unveiling ceremony was brief and orderly starting with the leaders from the ‘World Geospatial Information Home’ partners including Mr. GengliangWang , Director of the Geospatial Industry Development Center of Huzhou Moganshan High-Tech Zone, Mr. Hongwei Wu, Secretary-General of the Geospatial Information Innovation and International Cooperation Branch of China Association for Geospatial Industry and Sciences, Mr. Zhen Yang, Director of Deqing County International Exchange Center, Mr. Weifeng Yao, Vice Chairman of Deqing County Association for Science and Technology, Mr. Hans Ni, President of the Deqing Association for Geospatial Information Professionals and Mr. Mohammed M. Kabir, the active promoter of the ‘World Geo-Information Home’ and Chairperson of the African Region Network of the International Federation of Surveyors who also serves as an ambassador of African Union Agenda 2063, cutting the ribbon for the ‘World Geospatial Information Home’. Following that, the first batch of Chinese institutions dedicated to international cooperation that settled in the ‘World Geospatial Information Home’ were unveiled, including International Exchange and Technology Transfer Division of Wuhan University Technology Transfer Centre Zhejiang Branch and SouthSurvey-iSpatial International Center for Promoting Integration of Industry and Education.
简短的揭牌仪式后，紧接着举行了“地理信息国际合作研讨”。研讨会的第一阶段由入驻“世界地信之家”的哈萨克斯坦对地遥感企业协会代表艾格芮•苏尔坦别科娃主持，内容涉及“世界地信之家”简介、国际志愿者证书颁发、VIP嘉宾主旨演讲。其中，“世界地信之家”运营负责人、德清地理信息小镇科技工作者学会理事长、数联空间总经理倪涵介绍了“世界地信之家”的筹建、现状与愿景，德清县志愿服务联合会会长方明精心准备了国际志愿服务证书并由德清县委社会工作部副部长吴为民为来自尼日利亚、卢旺达、伊朗、玻利维亚、埃塞俄比亚、德国的首批十二位志愿者颁发了国际志愿服务证书，联合国附属空间科技教育亚太区域中心（中国）副主任景贵飞、国际测量师联合会非洲区域主席、盟委员会2063议程特别大使Mohammed M. Kabir、宁波诺丁汉大学地理空间数据科学副教授Nicholas Hamm博士分别作主旨报告，内容涉及时空大数据跨区域合作、非盟2063议程与中非地理信息合作以及空间数据科学教育等等。
After a brief unveiling ceremony, a seminar on International Cooperation in the field of Geospatial Information followed. The first session of the seminar was moderated by Ms. Aigerim Sultankbekova, a representative from Association of companies in the field of Remote Sensing of the Earth, Kazakhstan, settled in the ‘World Geospatial Information Home’. This session includes an introduction to the ‘World Geospatial Information Home’, the presentation of international volunteer certificates and keynote speeches from VIP guests. Among them, Mr. Hans Ni, the operator of the ‘World Geospatial Information Home’, president of Deqing Association for Geospatial Information Professionals and CEO of iSaptial, introduced the establishment, current status and vision of the ‘World Geospatial Information Home’. Mr. Ming Fang, president of Deqing Volunteer Service Federation, prepared the international volunteer service certificates, which were presented to the first twelve volunteers from Nigeria, Rwanda, Iran, Bolivia, Ethiopia, and Germany by Mr. Weimin Wu, deputy director of the Social Work Department of the Deqing County Committee. Keynote speeches were delivered by Prof. Guifei Jing, Deputy Director of Regional Center of Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (China) (Affiliated to the United Nations), Mr. Mohammed M. Kabir, Chairperson of the International Federation of Surveyors-Africa Regional Network and Ambassador of AU Agenda 2063 and Dr. Nicholas Hamm, associate professor of Geospatial Data Science at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, covering topics such as cross-regional cooperation in spatio-temporal big data, the African Union Agenda 2063 and China-Africa Geospatial Information cooperation as well as spatial data science education.
“地理信息国际合作研讨”的第二阶段由德清地理信息小镇科技工作者学会理事长倪涵主持，邀请了入驻“世界地信之家”的各国代表和中国地理信息相关领域企业共七位负责人分享地理信息相关产业领域国际合作的产品、机遇和契入点，最后与会代表就地理信息领域的国际合作进行了充分的探讨，可谓意犹未尽、机会多多。
The second session of the seminar was moderated by Mr. Hans Ni, president of Deqing Association for Geospatial Information Professionals. He invited seven speakers including WGIH representatives from various countries and companies in China’s geospatial information sector to share products, opportunities and entry points for international cooperation in the field of geospatial information industry. In the end, the attendees had a thorough discussion on international cooperation in the field of geospatial information, making it a very fruitful and opportunity-rich event.
主题活动结束的聚餐也颇具新意，主办方采用中西合璧的冷餐会模式，为参会者的深入交流提供了更多的机会，在绿水青山间聚餐多了一份更多想象空间，也拉近了合作方的距离，更展示了一种国际化的氛围。对此，特别鸣谢德清地理信息小镇凤麒智慧餐厅的大力支持与创新。
The closing banquet of the event was also quite unique, as the organizers adopted a fusion of Chinese and Western styles with a cold buffet approach, providing more opportunities for in-depth exchanges among participants. Dining amidst the sounding green mountains and clear waters added to the imaginative possibilities and brought partners closer together, showcasing a more international atmosphere. Regarding to this session, special thanks to the strong support and innovation from the Fengqi Smart Restaurant in Deqing Geospatiao Information Town.
德清作为我国县域经济的一个楷模，通过十余年的努力，已经成为在世界上有一定知名度的地理信息产业集聚地和创新发展策源地，这是国家、浙江省和德清人民政府以及入园企业和各国友好人士共同努力的结果，实在来自不易。在值遇百年未有之大变局的当下，只有秉承“人类命运共同体”的核心理念，践行“家”的内涵，“世界地信之家”定能走出一条与各国共享地理信息发展成就、助力各国地理信息能力建设和联合国可持续发展的新路子，进而为开创我国地理信息产业创新发展和国际交流合作新局面发挥应有的作用，望共勉之。
As a model of county-level economy in China, Deqing has become a well-known hub for the geospatial information industry and a source of innovative development in the world after more than a decade of effort. This achievement is the result of the joint efforts of China’s central government, Zhejiang Province and Deqing local government, the enterprises in the industry park and friendly people from various countries, which is truly hard-earned. At a time of unprecedented changes in a century, we must adhere to the core concept of a ‘community with a shared future for mankind’ and embody the meaning of ‘home’ , World Geospatial Information Home will surely carve out a new path for sharing the achievements of geospatial information development with all countries, assisting in the capacity building of geospatial information in various countries and contributing to the United Nations’ sustainable development. Thus, we can play our due role in creating a new situation for the innovative development of our country’s geospatial information industry and international exchanges and cooperation. Let us strive together.
